Green Routine: Slowing down, saying thanks, and sharing the glow

The slow descent into winter darkness always hits harder once daylight savings ends, doesn’t it? Suddenly it’s dark when we head to work and dark when we come home — no wonder it feels like the days are shrinking faster than ever. I’ll admit, I’ve been in my pajamas by 6 p.m. more nights than I’d like to confess. There’s something comforting about leaning into the early evenings, though — warm lights, soft blankets, and a little time to breathe.

 

I’ve never been much of a joiner when it comes to the end-of-year holidays, but I do love this time for reflection. November always invites me to slow down, think about gratitude, and quietly begin to plant the seeds for the year ahead. What do I want to feel more of? What do I want to carry with me into the next season? One thing that’s easy to feel thankful for every single day is you. Truly — your support, your loyalty, and your belief in what we’re building at BG mean the world. Through two big moves and all the growing pains that come with them, you’ve stayed with us. Without you — and without Rikki and Tiffany — there would be no Betty Green. The team and I are so deeply grateful for every moment we get to spend with you.
