What does no-tip mean?

We do not accept gratuity at BG Salon. We know this can feel unnatural when you pay at the end of your service. Here's why we do this: Cosmetology, Esthetics and Massage Therapy are specialized fields that require extended training, knowledge, and skill. We believe in paying a living wage to our staff and have taken that into account when pricing out our services to ensure your hair and skin care artists are appropriately compensated for their time and expertise. Folks don't tip any other skilled trade professional and we are no different.  Not allowing tipping also makes pricing simple. You never have to calculate the price of your service based on tipping percentages because it's clearly set.  We love that you want to leave us something extra, but your satisfaction is gratuity enough!

How do I make an appointment?

Hair appointments schedule by time, not by type of service, and each stylist charges an hourly rate. In order to determine how long your stylist will need for your appointment, they will need to see your hair before we get you scheduled. You can either set up a 15 minute consultation to come in and speak with your stylist, or you are welcome to text us at 734-678-6652 with photos of your hair as it is now with a brief description of what you'd like done. If you have any inspiration photos, we love to see those too. Once your stylist reviews your photos, they will let our Salon Coordinator know how long they need with you, and she will get  back to you with some availability.
